I found a Czech manufacturer of 1/72 photo-etched weapons. Not cheap but ideal for those necessary Winter of '79 conversions. They also make photo-etched 1/72 hands which you can animate to hold/fire the weapons too.
I do believe that Mr Grigov who makes these is in fact Bulgarian... :-) But he does do great work I must say. I look forward to seeing what you do with these. I have always been too much of a coward to try using them myself.
BW Models in Aberdeenshire make HO/OO cast weapons (GMPG, SLR's Stens etc). Not as detailed but probably cheaper and more robust. (I'm not related to them!)
Sgts Mess do weapons in 1/72 SLR sterling bren gpmg as well as LAWs, both closed and opened ready to fire, and M79s. also do warpac weapons such as AK47s etc. cast in white metal. have some myself and they are great.
If I am seeing these right, I think the intention is that you fold them over on one another to create a weapon with some depth.

ReplyDeleteAmazing what can be made these days...I can´t imagine trying to use these on a fig...they look very delicate.

We've mentioned BW's weapoans before. However BW are 1/76 which tends to be smaller than '20mm'.
ReplyDeleteDo you or anyone have any experience of them with Rh Hedges figures and similar?
Cheers
Mark
