Scratchbuilding a couple of But and Bens. Simple, two room, single storey cottages. 
The model in the top of the picture is just a concept piece built to determine if the dimensions looked right. The lower model is a 'fun' piece - a ruined cottage based on one locally that has a dead tree growing in the middle of it.

ReplyDeleteNot sure how much detail to go to. Must remember its wargame and not model train layout. My intention is to do a double cottage and bothy ruin too.

The ruined one could be useful for more than just battle damage. You can't move in some parts of MOD-owned land without falling over the wall of a ruined cottage or a hidden WWII bunker.
