The Holy Grail of 79 Gaming.

Last week I was down in Aberdeen with the family and decided to pop into Hobbycraft while waiting on the ferry. I haven't bought much in here for a while as they don't seem to stock a lot of gaming stuff nowadays. I was really surprised to find that they had these two great Hornby pieces and at the Bargain price of £10 each. They are going to look amazing as the centrepiece for a game.

They are the Hornby mineshaft building and Headstock 2.

  2. HI Mike

Popped in on the way to station. They still had one left. Tempting. They also have the Waterworks, Police Station and Bus Garage at a tenner also. Those three alone provide three wonderful objectives in a larger Winter of '79 game.

Lunchtime I went to ModelZone - everything EXCEPT Hornby and Skalectrix between 20-30% off. The guys are hoping for a last minute reprieve. Hope so for their sake.

    Cheers

  4. Hi Mark,

I got the Bus station but the police station was still full price when I was in. Which is a shame. Great model for a tenner.
When I was in Edinburgh I saw a great Bachmann block of flats in Harburn hobbies. It would look great in a game but was £60. Now wondering about taking photos of flats and sticking them to foam board.
    Cheers Mike
